officially broke~~~

I'm officially broke...when one has nothing to do and no companion to travel with, one just spends to kill time...and tat's exactly what i did....these are my "achievement" in kyoto during my short stay~~~what could i say about myself?? i need to reflect..hehehe...but FYI, some of the things are not for me..they are for my dear little sis~~~ :p

Day 1 in kyoto

Day Two

the things in the wrapping seem so mysterious~~~ya, in japan, they will wrap everything u buy nicely...and hence, one of the reasons i like japan...but i wouldnt like it if i were the one wrapping them...heheheh...

These are the contents...i bot a kitty postcard from a kitty shop...love tat shop..they even have a website of its own...too bad it's all in japanese..but it's nice enough that i only look at the graphics...cute...or should i say "KAWAI ne~~" \(**)/

kyoto

was supposed to go to kyoto last fri night...because of my trip to aust, i have to postpone to the next day...initially i tot of not going at all, but my instinct told me to go ahead...so i went on early sat morning...woke up at 6am to take the 730am shinkansen (新干线)。it was my first time riding on a bullet train and i love it ^^ it was like....a bullet indeed...i slept thru the whole 2 hrs, waking up for a little while in between....i have been waking up at 6am 4 days in a row...and in australia, 6am means 4am in kch...gosh...i was damn exhausted..when i was in train, it was like i fainted (昏过去 as i always said...hehehe) the scenery was pretty...but it was too fast tat i didnt have time to enjoy and look closely..hahah..i am just exaggerating la...it was full of greeneries, mountain, green grass land, farm house...yup, the scenery we see in totoro...very pretty ^^

i tried to do some research on fri night..was quite frustrated coz it seemed like nothing got into my head...especially the names!!! oh the names were killing me..i searched from the internet and all the names were in english...let me ask you, who put english names in japan???!!! the answer is RARELY...tat's wat got me frustrated..anyway, i copied everything down, making a travel booklet of my own...when i got there, i was totally lost...so i asked around...phew, finally got on my train..i was heading to my "hotel"...technically it's not a hotel...it's a temple...yup, i was staying in a hotel..it took me a while to find the right direction...seriously, kyoto has too many temples and shrine that i lost count...the place i was staying was really really really really x 10000000....etc nice!!! love it...it's the first time i slept on a futon...pictures speak louder than words...let me show u the pics to save you from reading

  • this is the main entrance of the place i stayed in...in reality, it stretches out from east to west, from north to south..my camera doesnt have paramatic function~~~
  • inside of the gate...a lOOoooong way to walk...

  • this is the map of the temple...HUUuuugggeeeee...i would just got lost in this world of theirs
  • this is only one of the main buildings...on the side, there are a lot of gardens and buildings...it's like a palace...a world of its own...

  • this is the entrance of my "hotel"
  • this is the outside of my room...they only have 2 rooms available and we are separated by the japanese sliding door...yup, i could hear wat my next door neighbours were doing..hehehe...

  • my futon and my room...the futon was already warm up for me even before i used it...how considerate and i love it...and my pillow is made up of little marbles...i tot my head is gonna hurt after sleeping on it..but it was good me in front of the main building

outdated

Wrote these posts last week when i was in australia..didnt have internet connection, tat's why they were sitting on my desktop till now...when i was in kyoto, i was cut out from the civilisation coz i stayed in a temple...sorry to have you guys read some outdated info...i just got bek from kyoto..i enjoyed it so much..will be putting on my blog ^^

Mixed up

Lately, I have been traveling to different time zones that I am afraid my system will be all mixed up L….last week, I was in Tokyo and it’s one hr ahead…which means im one hr older and one hr less sleep…oh man…and this week, I went to Sydney and Melbourne which is one hr ahead of Tokyo and two hours ahead of you guys L yeah, it doesn’t sound a lot but then it means a lot to my sleep….now, im going bek to Tokyo…gotta wake up at 6am tomorrow coz I will be going to Kyoto..yay yay…cant wait…travel for fun is always better than travel for work…hehehehe…. I was on the night flight when I flew from Tokyo to Sydney…oh gosh, tat was the most painful flight….slept at midnight and wake up at dawn…I couldn’t keep my eyes open during the whole meeting…and tat night, I went to bed at 10pm (or 8pm your time)….i admired my boss coz he came all the way from US and hardly slept at all and he could still keep his eyes open during the whole meeting..my mind just shut down…..now, mayb tat’s why he is where he is now and I am where I am now…hehehe…

Bla bla bla

Was in airport strolling this morning…and I saw a little cute aussie kid running around w his tiny luggage with rollers…it must be fun for him…then I started thinking, as adults, we find everything so troublesome…we just cant wait to check in all of our luggage and leave as little thing as possible on urself….then I thought, it must be fun to be kids coz they find everything new and fun…just like the luggage…hhmm..wouldnt it be good if all of us could have such attitude? Im sure life would be much better if we do so…gambate my friends… Hello from down under Havent been updating my blog for quite a while….

hello from down under

HELLO all, i havent been updating my blog for quite sometime..have been travelling a lot lately...first, was too tired because of travelling and time difference...and of coz, i have been hardworking too...second, it cost quite alot to use internet in sydney, so i tried not to use it too often...third, i simply must sleep...i slept at 8pm (or 10 pm sydney time) on tuesday and last night at 9pm (or 11 pm sydney time) and both mornings, i woke up before 4am (or 6am sydney time) to catch planes...ya, life is harsh...hehehe....the compensation for me is that my hotel is just 2 mins walk from sydney opera house...i went to take some pics one night when i only had half hr break...they said, if you havent seen the opera house, u havent been to sydney..so i must go..heheh..im now waiting for my plane to go back to tokyo..yay yay...but the tiring thing is, i will only reach hotel at abt 11pm tonight...sigh....oh well, i will just keep myself entertained ^^

someone from japan

Guess what's in the box? it was nicely wrapped before i opened it...aaahhh, this is the good thing abt Japan, they wrap everything you buy nicely...tat's why i like it...haha, but imagine if you are the one wrapping...will you like it as much as i do? i doubt it..hiak hiak hiak...anyway, i bot this in Hakone and it was a last minute shopping...we almost missed our last boat back to the other side of the shore (if we missed, we would have to sleep in the street during the cold rainy night)...when we were paying, we kept asking the lady not to wrap anymore, coz we were in a hurry..but she ignored us and kept on wrapping...my hearts were racing so fast...coz we wouldnt want to sleep in the cold....after she was done, we just grabbed the bag and ran as fast as we could...phew...luckily we made it...and a day later, we found tat there was other mode of transportation from that island back to the other island...and it only took 25 mins vs 1 hr and 5 mins....crap...this is the consequence of forgetting to do research!!! Isn't she adorable? i think she looks like me *blush* :p

泡澡记

went to Hakone on Saturday...Hakone is famous for its hot spring coz it is a volcanic area...have always been wanting to go last month but because of its popularity and school holiday season, i didnt have a chance to go...so this time, by hook or by crook, i must go....woke up early that day to catch a train...only when we arrived the train station that we all realised we forgot to do research...crap...so we went to Hakone using the normal train (which took abt 2 hours)...my back and shoulders were so sore after the ride and my neck too coz i was napping in the train....finally, we arrived in Hakone and there were tonnes of hot spring places to choose from..*scratching heads* so, which one to go? we had a brochure on my hands and we were so confused with all the bath offered...coz the brochure was in Japanese...luckily with my limited japanese knowledge, i was still able to guess what they meant....finally, we agreed on a place that offered free bus (无料 means FREE...we all love to see this word..be it in english, chinese or japanese..heheh)...happily, we hopped the bus, heading to our first onsen bath ^^ it wasnt expensive at all...but the rule is, you MUST NOT wear a single thing, including underwear and bathing suit...luckily it was a female onsen...so my colleague and i both went into the changing room...both of us were shy and chose to get change separately....of coz i didnt want her to look at me....hey, nobody has seen my 玉体 before okie? and somemore, i don want her to feel sad after looking at my gorgeous body..hiak hiak hiak...*blush*

ooohhh..when i opened door, i saw a lot of naked bodies going back and forth in front of me....i had a towel wrapped around myself...and i saw the little stools and washing area...just like those on movies and cartoons...then i saw gals helping each other washing their backs...i didnt dare to look eventhough i very much wanted to...so i quickly walked to the very end of the roll and quickly sit down and put my towel on the side...then i washed quickly and wrapped myself in towel again...there was a hot spring indoor and outdoor...i didnt dare to use the indoor coz tat means i had to be naked in front of so many ppl...so i went out, chose an empty area and quickly darted into the water like a flash with my towel flying high on the sky...aaahhh...im covered by water, i felt saved now...it was a nice bath in the nature ^^ but after 15 mins, i felt so hot and i sweat non stop.....it was a good experienced...i felt so HOT and dehydrated after the bath..but my sore back and shoulders was gone!!! 1,350 yen is worth it ^^ will try to visit again...eventhough the chance may not be big...

This is the place where we had our hot spring bath...it wasnt bad....

me after the bath...so refreshed!!!~~~

赏樱花

A mail from my dearest friend made my day this morning...the way she described the cherry blossom is very interesting and i wanna put in my blog ^^ she does have creativity in writing and i urged her to start her own blog..but she refused....heheh...here goes her little short passage...i will definitely enjoy myself^^ i just bot some games to play...am getting ready!!!

WOW! I can’t stop imagining the sight where u n your friends picnic under the cherry blossom! U’ll be eating sweet n sour ‘plum rice ball’, fresh sushi, maybe come with sake…watching Japanese cute little kids laughing n chasing after each other, handsome Japanese guys n kawai Japanese gals walking by, n while u r sipping the sake, the cherry blossoms fall on your hair , n from the far, u can see the cherry blossoms fall like rains when the breeze passed by….wah wah wah!!! my imagination is so real that I can almost smell the cherry blossoms! Ha ha ha! must enjoy yourself oh!

never been happier

this morning, i woke up as usual...turning on my MSN hoping to see all of my friends who are working on saturday....i normally don't have the chance to chat with my friends via msn during the working day as my MSN is blocked and when i come home at night, most of them are not on chat room so it's like day and night which would never meet...when i turned on my msn, i went to see PZ's blog (which i was hoping that it would be updated and it DID!!!)...i saw the familiar pictures on her blog and i read on...OMG OMG, she found my favourite artist too....i love the artist and have every single book of hers....it was a few years ago when i visited a book store in HK w my friend...and i saw the cover that wrote "150cm 的生活"..it fascinated me...so i picked up the book and started reading..it was so cute and my friend told me that i don have to read it coz i would never understand...haha..in that case, it should read in order to understand :p

oooo...pz, u dono how happy i am right now...being able to see more pictures online coz i'm always waiting for her new book....i bot 一个人的第一次,一个人泡澡,一个人去东京 etc...and my friend gave me a bday present last year 一个人去旅行...i love every single of the book....im now re-reading my bday present coz i wanted to copy her itinerary etc....pz, thanks for making feeling happier than i already am....^^ the tot of the cherry blossom made me excited, the website made my day too...*hugz*

This will be me next week...tasting all the best food in Japan...and like the cartoon...i will shout out loud "Oishii" (translation: YUMMY)...just like the japanese show i watched one day last time, they went around searching for the best food...they picked up a sushi and the moment they put it in their mouth and before chewing, they shouted OISHII~~~and when they started chewing, you could see their eyes become round round, eye balls also dropped out, kept nodding and making loud OISHII noise and it took them a while to finish chewing and willing to shallow (that's how LJ described to me in one of her emails...and "ngam ngam" i saw it in a show after that..hahah..)

invitation letter

Do i look really happy because i'm going to Japan? oh well, my colleagues think i'm too obvious that i am happy about me going to japan soon...oh, who's not? hahaha....imagine the amount of fresh air i could get, the peace and quiet i couldnt get in HK, the amount of sashimi and most important of all, cold weather, cherry blossom and tulips :) the thought already kept me happy all week long~~~

today, i organised a group activity for next sunday and i gave them an invitation letter...my colleauge loves the email coz he thinks it is warm ^^ oh well, i guess it's from the bottom of my heart (发出于内心)...you guys are invited too....here's my little simple invitation mail that got my colleague's heart~~噗咚噗咚..simple yet caring...*Vomit*

Dear All,

You are cordially being invited to attend a group activity next Sunday, 20/4. After much discussion these two weeks, we decided to have a picnic under cherry blossom trees where we could enjoy each other’s company and get to know each other better since most of you are new to the team :) The agenda for that day has been arranged but feel free to provide any valuable suggestions that you may have.

First, we will depart early on that day to Tsukiji Market to purchase our picnic meal, and then we will go to a park (to be selected by Makoto), select the best location for sitting down, play games and then we will leave for a bowling session. After that, we will go back to hotel for a rest and greet T at the lobby at 7pm where we will have dinner with him.

We have not thought of any entertainments during the picnic session, may be each of you could come up with an idea to keep us entertained that day. Those without ideas will have to clean up after our picnic session.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestion. We have thought of Disney Sea, Doraemon park etc but due to our previous experience, we think it’s better not to join the crowd. Have a great weekend and safe travel on Sunday.

Thanks and regards, Jane

血光之灾

This year is not a good year for me...in fact, it's the worst year of all....in fact, it's the worst among the 11 other chinese horoscope...and no, i'm not gonna say which animal i belong to :p anyway, jenn told me that this year, we gotta be extra careful, because there is a possibility that we will have 血光之灾!!! Don't panic, that does not necessarily mean that what you are thinking right now (yeah, i know wat you are thinking), it could be a cut, a fall or something...so after hearing what jenn said, i was careful but not too careful enough as i was cut by a piece of wood...it was a small cut, but i "LOST" a lot of blood...

one fine morning, i was packing, getting ready to move and suddenly, i realised i had a lot of blood on my finger...and i couldnt find any cut on my finger, so i quickly looked into the mirror to find that i had blood on my forehead...i panicked but tot it must be because of a pimple...but then, i didnt have any pimple on my forehead???!! where could the cut be? i washed the blood off my forehead only to find that the pain came from the finger...ooohh..it was a small cut on my finger while i touched a broken frame...eventhough a small cut, it kept bleeding and i even left alot of blood on my keyboard!!! the moral of the story? those who knows what animal i am, you betta be careful too~~~ ^^

clueless

Feel like writing something, but have totally no idea what to write...just in one day, so many things have happened to me, but i couldnt quite put them to words to describe my frustration....is it better not to write anything when you dont feel like writing? i remember i have a post about not feeling inspirational..tat was back in 2006, my second post...excited abt the creation of my new blog yet didnt know what to write eventhough i wanted to write badly that time...i read thru my blog...from the first post to the last and i realised how much i have changed...from the tone of my passage, to the words i used, to the lessons i have learned, the world i have seen, the people i have met, the events i have gone thru etc...i just don't sound the same anymore...haha...i actually sound more complicated now...well, don't ask me why, i guess as you grow older, ur lives just get more complicated...hhmmm.....is it true that our lives get more complicated as we get older or is it just because we care too much as we get older? :(

I have learned that.....

I love this song when i was back in Kuching, eventhough i like to sing it but i never excel in it ^^ after x years, i finally realised what is meant by this song.....i felt for the song and love every bits of the song..now i share with all of my friends ^^ don you think the lyrics is the best? enjoy

agony of returning to hk

After leaving HK for sOOooo long, i have a lot of things to do here (which i would gladly ignore when i have an excuse not to take k of them coz im not around 逃避现实 ^^) anyway, before i come back i already have a whole list of to-do list...a few days before coming back to HK, i felt sad...my colleagues were all counting down to return home but me~~~even my jap colleague cheered for returning to HK (and FYI, his home is in Tokyo)...they said, oh, 3 more days to go...for me, i said 72 more hours to go...why? you would ask, coz 72 sounds longer than 3...hahaha...:p again, 逃避现实...

The moment i was in the plane, i couldnt stand the noise anymore...it is very quiet in japan, air and food is so fresh and everyone is polite...in the plane, the ppl "talked" (or yelled) on top of their lungs, kids misbehaved and i sat there wishing all of them vanishing!! hate it! my heart beat so fast when i heard the noise in HK, my skin is getting worse and i don like it!!! i hate the most is the list of things i need to attend to first thing on monday...and let me tell you, they were not pleasant....

On monday morning, i took a ferry (which i had to walk v far) and went to HK immigration to renew my HK work permit and i waited and waited and waited...for TWO hours before it was my turn...and turned out, i didnt have enough time to renew as i need my passport to do my Japan visa and at that moment, i realised i had to renew m'sian passport too...coz it is running out of blank pages...CRAP...another chore....

so i returned office..and made phone callS to m'sian embassy....the S*upid embassy...called million of times and nobody picked up..when finally someone picked up, it was a few hours later!!! they even have this culture after leaving the country..OMG OMG...anyway, i realised they want my m'sian IC for renewal and the problem is, i don have it with me....so i called and called and called, wanting to find out if there is other solution...but again, no one picked up...sigh...and finally someone picked up and here goes my conversation with her...

me: i don't have my ID here, is it ok to fax a copy over?

her: we need to see your original copy. if no m'sian ID, we cant help you.

me: (desperate to try all means) Is it ok if i have someone verified true copy tat they have seen it and fax it over?

her: without your m'sian ID, we cant help you

Me started to think that she is the gal from the singapore movie called "政府工的日子" a broken radio...no matter wat ppl ask her, without thinking thru, she gives a standard answer....

Me: but i need to go on business trip next week and i need it for visa application, could you pls help me? i applied in HK before, can u use the copy in my personal file? it hasnt changed.

Her: without your m'sian ID, we cant help you.

Me: in that case, can i ask my sis in m'sia to send the IC to ur colleague in m'sia and they verified to tell you that they have seen the copy?

Her: without your m'sian ID, we cant help you.

Me: (Starting to feel annoyed abt the inflexibility) can you use my driver's license? it has my m'sian ID number on it and it's on my passport too...

Her: without your m'sian ID, we cant help you.

Me: So you mean, you must have it no matter what.

Her: yes...

SIGH....she could be annoyed w my questions but i really dono why they are so inflexible...arent them supposed to be helpful when ppl are desperate already? in the end, jenn helped me sent my IC over and the moment i received it, i went straight to the ferry (again, walked v far) and went to the embassy....at the embassy, there were two malay working...and one person standing in front of me only and i still have to wait for nearly 30 mins...and the lady didnt stop making person calls and her mobile kept ringing...and yeah, the next day is public holiday and SHE IS GOING TO SHANGHAI...and they chit chat like there was no tomorrow...but luckily they were efficient and i got it in the afternoon (again, took ferry..i took 4 times of ferry for tat week and so tired) next week, another ferry to go do my Japan visa....haaaaiii....never ending chores!!!

exhaustion

This is my 200th post!! Congratulations jane jane...i just realised when i was abt to update my long-abandoned blog....i know after i left japan, i havent been hardworking enough..i had soOOooo many things to tell after leaving japan...esp on the last day of my trip in tokyo and my 1st day back in HK as well as my encounter at HK immigration and Malaysian consulate in HK...they are classic man...eventhough i have much to say, but i'm mentally exhausted that i just do not have the strength to write a complete post :(

i'm mentally exhausted because of 1) the noise in HK...after 5 weeks of peace and quiet and Japan, i just found that HK is too noisy and air is too polluted...my heart beat so fast when im back....STRESSSssss....2) am mentally exhausted as i have tonnes of things to do when i return...renewal of my hk visa, application of Japanese visa and last minute renewal of my malaysian passport because it's out of blank pages...and dealing w all these officers...tired man..esp the latter!!! 3) have many conference calls and wrapping up to do~~~

again, my question goes bek to...could we have more time for a day? mayb if i had more time, i wouldnt feel like the way im feeling right now?! or mayb it would still be the same...it's just a question of how we deal with it...agreed?
