Part and Parcel of life

saw this video last night and thought it was very touching and sweet :) indeed, feel very happy that two strangers could meet up and become so close that they felt they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together...this video reminded me of a wedding of LJ... ^^ the crying part of the groom though...really touched to see and i started imagining what went thru fish's mind or LJ's mind at that time...haha....i just thought this is a nice video and hopefully, it will get some couple friends of mine to quickly walk down the aisle already...seriously, when you are with someone for x years, why wait for so long to think? get your butt moving and start doing something...don't wait until it's too LATE!!
BTW, I think fish's hubby looks like LJ's hubby...both could fall in the category of 'good hubby'...hahaha.....can anyone tell me the name of the song?

Cannot fit in

Saw this miniature wedding dresses when i was in taiwan...thought they were quite cute and very well done...so i took pictures of them...im sure some of you like them as well..mayb could be used for your future weddings too... ^^

Courage to give up

I'm not sure if anyone of you encountered any obstacles or dilemma where you had to make a decision whether to forgo someone / something that you cared a lot about....and how you went about making the decision and the pain you had to go through....i had to say, i have encountered many many instances throughout the N years of my life....when i was young, i was in dilemma whether i should spend all my money on candy or keep it for future use...or whether i should study or go out and play...sounds like very minor things now but they all meant so much to me at the time....the dilemma or decisions seem to become harder as you get older...at one stage, it is whether you want to be with someone then whether you want to leave home and go abroad to try your luck...imagine the amount of things, emotions you have to think through and give up in order to gain something...well...sometimes, we are just too afraid to let go something that we think is important to us...like i said before...it may be important to me now but perhaps few years down the track, it may not be that important to me anymore and i may even find that i feel lucky that i have made the decision and thus, i become the person i am today?! i saw a short passage today... sometimes you just have to have the courage to give up in order to gain something...there is an old saying..."NO PAIN NO GAIN"

Want a shave?

I love this video...i joined a tour in auckland before flying to sydney..i was sad that it was my final weekend there coz i kinda like NZ....i joined a very hectic tour coz i wanted to do everything in a day...the glow worm cave, the hot spring, the farm and so on....the farm was one of my favourites coz i got to feed a lot of farm animals...i tried putting food on my palm and had the emus ate from there...at first, it was kinda scary coz i didnt know if it was painful...just imagine the size of the bird and its peak!! i asked the tour guide if it is painful...he asked me to be careful not to stick my little finger up coz it might get bitten and broke...GOSH..i was terrified...but in the end, it turned out he was just fooling me...hahaha...then we fed the hungry bunch of sheep...it was interesting to see them close...a few sheep jumped on a guy in an attempt to steal food from his palm...it was funny....i like the sheep dog...he was really intelligent but a show off...hahaha....i like this shaving video..i found the guy very funny...sheep very cute...but i tried uploading for few hours but still cannot...too bad...no luck...i upload photos instead

hot pan

Have you ever seen a plate of sizzling beef? it used to be our favourite dish when we were in school...there was a chinese restaurant near our place and i remember everytime we went, we must order it...a lot of aussies like it too..they like the sizzling sound...but im sure you havent seen this...sizzling human...hahaha..well, the stone is really really warm and it's very nice during winter time...i remember that day was a bit cold and i didnt have a lot of clothes on...gosh, it felt nice to sit on it...very warm...why it's warm? because there are many hot springs around...i guess it must be sizzling hot underneath...lookit that guy, i think he was enjoying himself!

souvenir shops

I was being told that in the 1900's, there were SEVEN million Sheep!! SEVEN MILLION!! and the human population is only a third of that...WOW...no wonder we all have the impression that NZ has more sheep than human..hahaha....the sheep population has decreased already because sheep business is deteriorating...and farmers switched to cattle instead...so now, they could have SEVEN millions of cattle and sheep!! when i was going from Christchurch to Queenstown the other day...eventhough there were a lot of farms..but i didnt see a lot of sheep...didnt know where they went...anyway, i think after sheep and cattle, the second most popular thing i see in NZ is SOUVENIR SHOPS...they are everywhere...no matter where you turn, where you go...there are always souvenir shops...i know NZ is famous for its tourism..but..this is too much...i think i shopped mostly at souvenirs shops than any other shops when i was there...im surprised at the amount of business...NZ really has a lot of tourists...who knows..mayb even locals shop at souvenir shop too...coz they sell all sorts of things...from T-shirt to boots to food....mayb that's why...BTW folks, im still suffering from jetlag and since i will be out in china again tomorrow and no access to blogger...i figured i should just drop by and say something... ^^

Kangaroo products

Finally, i got back to HK and am at home now..the sad thing is, i will be leaving for suzhou tomorrow~~sigh...so i gotta fully utilize my only day in HK...i cant believe i actually miss HK and my home in HK even i was travelling to such nice places...i guess nothing beats your own shelter~~it was a very fruitful trip..i did a lot of things, saw a lot of things and experienced a lot of things...it was a combination of happiness, madness, bitterness, exhaustion but worth it.... :) Saw something funny the other day in sydney...went to a lot of souvenir shops around the opera house...and found these...who says chinese people are cruel...somehow, my perception abt australian changed after this trip...why? just lookit the pics below...
it's typically that they sell kangaroo fur, kangaroo meat, kangaroo bags...but this is too much!!! Kangaroo back scratching tool made of kangaroo hands/feet and kangaroo card holder made of kangaroo balls??? who would buy that? yikes ><>

the beginning of a horrible trip

Left auckland for sydney this morning...from the time i arrived auckland airport, i already had a bad feeling about this trip...i told myself to be prepared of something bad...i didnt know what yet, but i knew it was going to be a tough one...why? because both NZ and Aus are rigid abt rules and regulations...first, in nz, i was pretty sure that my luggage would be overweight...why? because it was already OW when i came...why? because i have to bring bloody FOUR weeks of stuff and winter clothes somemore!!! then, i bought food in NZ and i know Aus is very strict abt bringing food in, then i also know that by bringing one backpack and one big bag as hand luggages might be too much for them to handle...so, i was prepared for all those...

The first bad thing that happened was, eventhough i arrived airport earlier, i had to Q for 40 mins to check in...ok, nvm, at least i was on time...yup, i was right, i was charged bloody NZD 40 for being oveweight...FOR ONE BLOODY KILO!! they could have just let me go..but no, they couldnt pass their own concious...so i PAID!!! you might wonder why i paid instead of just taking out the 1 kg?! because i already have too many things on hand, i didnt want 1) the counter lady to weight my hand luggages like what they did to other passengers, 2) i couldnt risk myself at the immigration that they weight my bags and ask me to check in instead...that way, i might incurred more than just NZ$40! all those was my mental calculation...

then i tried to act like my bags werent heavy eventhough they looked kinda BIG...when i walked in the immigration, two custom ladies were at the door checking luggages, i saw them, quickly smiled and greeted them and walked away as quickly as possible...phew, they didnt stop me and i successful passed the immigration...then i was stopped at the x-ray counter where my backpack was scanned 3 times in every angle...searched my bag and found that it was my sunglasses casing that caused the chaos!! fine, that's small matter...when i arrived sydney, i declared all my food...just in case...guess what happened? i was stopped when i handed over my immigration card...why? because i took a glass of white wine in the plane and was apparently too "drunk" and checked all the questions as "YES"..yes, i had AUD10,000 worth of cash, yes, i have AUD10,000 worth of commercial goods, yes, i had been to a farm etc etc...so the custom took me aside and questioned me...so i just told him it was a mistake...they let me go...when i was at the custom checking point, the guy asked me to have all my bags scanned...there go my backpack, then my other handluggage, then my big luggage...the guy said i had something in my 2nd hand luggage..i said yeah, i have food inside (pretty confident that it wont be confiscated coz they are just junk food)...he searched and found another bag inside instead...oh, it was my wool-sheep heat bag i got in Queenstown..it was love at first side...coz it was really cute...he read the tag and said, you cannot bring this in coz it has WHEAT inside...i was...shocked...WHEAT? OMG...he is going to take it away from me..so i pleaded and said...could i at least have the cover back?

eventhough he confiscated my heat bag, i still felt lucky..coz if i put my sheep in my big bag instead, i would have lost a lot more things...i had 3 packets of cereal, macadania nuts, tea, chocolate etc...at least i had the cover back...now i just have a "corpse" without a "heart"....here's a pic of the sheep...you would know why it was love at first side...i can just stuff some cotton wool inside to make it lively again~~ ^^

Kia-ora from Rotorua~

Kia-ora everyone from Rotorua...kia-oro means hello or thank you in Maori language...was in Rotorua yesterday before i leave the wonderful country...a bit sad honestly...it's a nice place with lots of friendly people....well, rotorua is a place where they have a lot of hot spring...someone could be sleeping at home one day and find their home suddenly with a hot spring fountain shooting through their roof tops...the place has its own unique smell...so unique that even when i farted while walking and nobody would even notice...that's how bad the town smells...haha...but it's good for your skin, for your nose, for your lungs etc...guess the smellier something is, the better...just like what the chinse said...苦口良药 (i.e. bitter taste good medicine)..it's the same concept!! well, yesterday was a rushed day...i woke up at 6am (which is your 2am) and hopped on the bus at 655am...went to a lot of places and did a lot of things in a day and got back to hotel at 8pm...now, i called that, a fruitful day....here's how rotorua farts (with water splashing out from the bottom :p) it was a GIGANTIC fart i tell you!!!

Graduation

It is graduation these two weeks in Auckland...my hotel is next to University of Auckland and lately, i saw a lot of people wearing the "suit"....they looked so happy and radiant...eager to venture out of uni into the society & workplace...suddenly, i just couldnt help thinking of my own graduation N years ago....gosh..time really flies, and now it's already N years of working!!! i still remember how naive we once were that time...life was just only about exams, assignments, lectures, tutorials and fun!! i guess N years down the track, they would feel the same as us...mortgage, salary, workload, pressure etc etc...oh well, i'm just glad that i don't need to crack for exams, rush for lectures, worry about assignments and tutorials...everything has its good and bad...i guess, life now is not all that bad as well :) Cheers to our lives...like the pic below~

How to use toilet correctly?

i guess this picture is very self explanatory~~ the correct way of using toilet...i saw this when i was in our christchurch office last week...it was a really really nice office..surrounded by mountains...and the weather that day was perfect~~i really like NZ ^^ interesting place...and of coz interesting sign...i didnt know there may be people who may not know how to use toilet correctly...hehehe...i thought people would prefer to sit down than squatting...why? squatting is darn tiring especially when you have constipation!!! very clear instruction though...i still have another sign i found in queenstown toilet...for some reasons, i couldnt locate it now...will upload it when it's found~~
