Water town 水上人家

Went to 南浔(nan xun) last saturday....it's a "water" town 2.5 hours away from Shanghai city by car...took a bus there early in the morning...supposed to have weather change and thunder storm tat day, surprisingly, the weather was very good....i must be very tired coz i slept throughout the whole bus ride... I have seen ppl living "on" water before in Pondianak...in comparison, this is like a heaven...the scenery is like a potrait...you could take pictures at any angles..all pictures taken are like pieces of expensive potraits :)
(This is one of my masterpieces ^^)
Spent a day over there, walking around the town area...their specialties are 麦芽糖 (Sticky but does not stick on your teeth) and 芡实糕 (it was like eating flower petals)...yum yum...i did ate both of the delicacies...love them love them ^^
If you know China History, then you must come....there are alot of rich officials from the qing dynasty...all we do whole day was visiting their homes...and of coz the streets of nan xun...i love that place...the main transportations are boat and tri-cycles...really a polluted free area...too bad ppl are not civilised enough, rubbish could be found in the river....oh, and ppl wash in the river the traditional way...i would hate washing if tat was wat i had to do to wear clean clothes!!! (refer to the pic above)
(me, me, ME)
(look at the reflection on the water...this is actually a pond in one official's home....HUUuuuggeee swimming pool **)
