Jane can cook

after moving to shanghai, i try to cook as much as possible at home...i didnt have a chance to do that when i was in Hk because i travelled too much and somemore, the kitchen was a lot smaller...plus, HK has far too many yummilicious food that i didnt want to waste every minute or second trying all the good food :p after moving shanghai, and after hearing so many "black-hearted" stories about food in china, i wanted to live longer and avoid hospital so better make good investment before something happened...plus, my place is near two big supermarkets and the fact that i spend much more time in shanghai and have bigger kitchen, so i wanted to fully utilise.....
didnt really have the strength to cook during week nigh
ts...coz by the time i got home, it was quite late...well, i have a strategy of my own :) i try to cook a lot of food over the weekend and eat them during week days.....gosh, after cooking for quite sometime, i really ran out of ideas of what to make...first, i made bak kuk teh, second, i made stewed pork, then pork chop, then ginger chicken, then fried bee hoon etc etc...*sweat* and still thinking...how does mum do it? well, a few days ago, i came across an old rec
ipe book i bought long long time ago...the title was "lazy bone cooking recipe"...hey, that's referring to me..so i ran thru the book and picked the easiest in the book..guess what is it? tada~~~
Steamed mushroom and asparagus rice....all i did was, soaked the mushroom, cut into small pieces, cut the asparagus..all dumped into rice cooker and added soy sauce and tada...something healthy...i added in a fried egg to add colours to the brown looking dish...next time, i will add more colours to it bit by bit...it was delicious...i think i inherited 30% of mum's talent *blush*
Thanks to "lazy bone recipe book"~~

like that u say u inherit your mom's talent! i think aunty will feel offensive. mua ha ha!

recipe for lazy bone! suits me too! u can try to prepare different ingredient at night, & the next morning dump into electric stew cooker n let it cook as soup, u can have hearthy soup, meat & vege all in one when u come back home.
