Airport disaster

As you all know, i have many terrible airport experience...recently, the travel disaster, then the visa disaster....because of the number of such instances increases, i have decided to add a category for it just for everyone's easy reference...when you feel bored or blue, clicking in to see might cheer you up :) see how nice i am...anyway, you might be wondering what is Jane up to again that you see this heading again? well???!! here's the story:
Friday was our last day in Korea...we were all happy that it's finally over (well..for the work part but not for the korean BBQ and shoju part)....just the night before we departed, we went out for a celebration..of coz at a korean BBQ and with lots of korean wine!!! all of us were half drunk when we decided to celebrate a colleague's birthday, bought her a cake and went to the hotel bar for more...MARGARITA...somehow, korean version of margerita is really something...full of hard liquor..naturally, we all got back to our room, feeling drunk~~ well..... i was 30% sobber....you may wonder this is not even related to airport...it's just some background story....the next day, we all look less fresh than previously (if you know what i mean)....so, t
ime to go to airport after lunch....everything went smoothly...we got into a nice taxi, slept in the car, got to the airport and checked in...pass the X-ray point, pass the immigration...we were all glad that everything went on smoothly....by the time we got home...it was late...but it was ok....then when the laptop was turn on...CRAP!!! it was someone else's laptop that looked exactly the same as our company's!!! OMG OMG OMG...how could this happened? made sure the everything taken out from the bag was put back in the bag..how come? WHY? nan-ni? OMG OMG OMG....called the airport's lost and found, it was late and nobody worked over the weekend...what to do? a lot of confidential and valuable info inside!! luckily found a fixed asset tag on the laptop, knew that it was a japanese company and knew the person's ID...gonna call on Monday to search for missing laptop!! must be the wine, must be too excited to leave korea... :( who knows people also use such 'advanced' laptop....thought only our company is using them~~sigggggghhhhh >_< + (T_T)
luckily this time it wasn't my airport story...it was my colleagues's....don't know to be relieved or what coz it's still somehow related to me :(

Rabbits~~~~

I bought my rabbit toy in korea the other week and i really love it...it was so adorable that when my colleagues came to my room for conference call one night that they also fell in love...so last night, i went back to the rabbit stall with my colleagues and got myself a bigger one....the current one, even though i love it, is a bit small when i hug it at my sleep....i got it because it's small and easier to bring around...but i decided to get a bigger one....now, i stood in front of the stall, picking out my rabbit..gosh...it was so difficult because i love every single one of them...big rabbits, small rabbits, white rabbits, black rabbits, brown rabbits, female rabbits, male rabbits, rabbits in dress, rabbits in pants, rabbits in apron, rabbits rabbits rabbits...this was what went through my mind last night...so i picked one...i havent taken a pic yet...will show you guys next time...but i did take another pic with all the rabbits at the stall...take a look

生活=艺术

Something i copied from my blog in friendster....i still think it was really well written...of coz not by me...i copied it from a magazine...it was a post in 2007.....

Shop again...

Continuing from my last shopping spree, i didnt buy a lot of things in Daegu...coz for some reasons, they didnt tempt me that much...the current style is not my favourite...but i did buy a lot of skin related products...in korea, if you go into a skin products shop, they will give you a lot of samples....so my strategy? hehehe..is to buy in instalment from the same shop...i like the make up remover water from Nature Republic which i can only find in Korea...my plan is to buy 10 bottles...first, i bought 2 bottles + other products and got a lot of free samples...second time, i bought 3 bottles + other products and get a lot of free samples...i plan to buy another time...actually, the thing is, i feel embarrassed to buy so many in one go la... *FLUSH*

This is what i bought for jenn....passport cover~~

Where do i look like i come from?

Well...i walked around Daegu in Korea today...i went to a very nice temple today and spent quite sometime there...i felt cleansed now...hahaha...and i was really hungry after such long time at the temple...so i decided to find something nice in the city for dinner...so i walked and walked and walked...there were mountains of people gathered in the city centre getting ready to cheer for Korea in worldcup...the city was RED..im sure from the satelite, it would look like daegu city is bleeding..hahaha...why? because everyone was wearing red..the colour for korea in worldcup....anyway..side tracked liao...so i found this nice italian restaurant in the busy streest of daegu..the restaurant appeared to be simple and peaceful..so i decided to go in and have a try....as usual, nobody in korea speaks english...so i used my body language...and said whatever as best as i could...actually, it was just to say..."one person please"....when i settled down...a very good looking waiter came...spoke to me in simple english...i was so touched :') well, the menu was in english and italian and no pics...so he took the time to go through the menu with me...it was kinda nice...well...i still didnt know what to order since he just explained...these are tomato pasta, these are cream pasta, these are salad, these are risotto etc...so i looked at him blankly...and he said, well, i like this one...i just went for it...had a nice and relaxing dinner....turned out, the waiter was also the cook!!! it was great stuff...he was young, good looking and talented...wahh...fabulous combination...anyway, he asked me where i came from...and was shocked to learn that i am NOT korean...he said i really look like korean.... >< ....he is not the only one saying that...i remember when i was in sydney airport last time and one korea spoke to me in korean and one japanese spoke to me in japanse...then this time when i came here...everybody thought i am korean...and my colleagues thought i look like korean...well, i just hope i looked like the pretty korean after plastic surgery!!! like below...hehehe... \(^^)/ last year, after spending x weeks in korea...the day i returned to my office in hk..my hk colleagues looked at me strangely and asked if i had done plastic surgery in korea?! ????? -> these are what was in my mind at that time....

BTW, when i was in kuching last time...i was stopped by police to examine my ID card and when i was shopping in Everise, the sales girl asked me where i am from...i said with a frown...hmmm...kuching?! she was surprised and said she thought i am from China...AKA 小龙女....i was.....SPEECHLESS....should i be happy or not?

Shop shop shop....

Korea here i come....am very happy to be back in korea..i still remember my last trip...i bought a lot of stuff...they were not that expensive at that time because korean won was down down down...well, i thought i could do the same this year but i have been walking up and down the streets of daegu...but i didnt see anything i like???!!! i must be sick...well..the thing is, this year, RIBBON is very popular...they have ribbon hairband, ribbon shoes, ribbon shirt, big ribbon, small ribbon...but but...they are TOO cute for me...i'm already over the teenager age la..but i managed to get something elegant...nice hair clips..hehehe...i got this after walking for soOOOOoo long..really not worth my time...then i got some cosmestic....the thing i like abt korea is...when u buy cosmetic or skin care, they give you a lot of samples...so i decide to split my purchases...hiak hiak hiak ><

Travel Disaster

I took a morning flight to Korea on Tuesday night…..sometimes, I like travelling, sometimes I just hate it…I used to hate travelling only when I’m going to places that I don’t like or when I will do something I don’t like or see someone I don’t like or go somewhere I don’t like for too long or when I just don’t feel like travelling….now I have another pet peeve…I don’t like to travel at midnight!!! Why? Because first, I’m deprived from my beauty sleep, then I will feel very very tired after the flight…second, I don’t like to use my own time to fly for business trip especially when I have done it so often already…I kinda feel imbalance inside…hehehe..i flew at 215am on Wed morning and took a 1.5 hours car ride to the hotel…my initial plan was to take a nap at the hotel for a short while, take shower, have breakfast then go to the office to fight a battle with someone…the moment I got into the taxi, I FAINTED and started to dream…I slept till I couldn’t wake up…oh man…that was how tired I was…then when I was abt to check in the hotel, the hotel told me that they didn’t have the room…I was MAD MAD MAD…coz my colleague helped me booked early check in already where they would charge me 50% of the room rate…and now, they treated me like this? Well, no matter how I scolded them, I would never get a room…so I went to the fitness centre to take my shower…I treated the ladies’ room as my own room…I poo’ed and I bathed naked in an open space at the sauna area….aaaahhh…the good thing is, I had the sauna all for myself since it’s DARN early in the morning….who even goes at this hour!!!

My trip home

It was a short trip this time...in fact, very rush...coz it was a last minute decision and couldnt get ticket to come back on friday night or saturday...otherwise, it would be GREAT~~ the week i was in kuching was both good and bad...good because there were gawai holidays & some big shot's bday and that means Jenn & friends got more time to play with me...bad because a lot of shops & kopitiams were closed becaues of this!!! mayb that doesnt mean much to those of you who are always in kuching..it sure has a lot of impact on me!! the next day i came back, i wanted to have my favourite noodle, but it was closed for 4 days!! then i wanted to have my favourite laksa and it was closed for 5 days!! then i wanted to have noodles & laksa at other places and they were all CLOSED!!! the most important was, i didnt get to have my favourite drink for almost one whole week that i was there...luckily, i had been a good girl and my prayer was answered...i got to have my favourite Teh C peng at my favourite kopitiam (Refer to the pic below...jenn was kind enough to bought TWO glasses for me on my last day in Kuching) and i got to have the noodle at my favourite place just before my parents & jenn sent me to airport....i felt so happy already...好幸福 :')
