Nothing to write

wanna update my blog but i couldnt think of anything to write...weird...mayb that's because i have been staying in one location for TOooooo long...out of boredom, i took some pictures in the hotel...share with my friends...don't laugh coz im not a professional photographer and i don have a tripod...:p and most important of all, im not a born model...

Response rate of my last post is very the low :"( *low confidence* dont you guys wanna know what i had? why was it so special? and what he served to Dalai Lama? no? No? NO? WHAT la, a bunch of ignorant ppl...hahaha...now, im scolding :p anyway, my drink is a milk tea that has been boiled for 6 hours...and it tasted like heaven (eventhough i dono how heaven tastes like...just tat it didnt taste...eeerrr...well, earthy) :D the owner has collection of pots and tea cups and they are really really nice...some ppl are not very nice...they either steal or crack these pretty little things...and some even steal from the owner...how inconsiderate!!! anyway, here's the pic of my special tea....u want address? haha...nah, im not giving since i didnt get any response last time...hehe..just kidding...let me know if u are interested~~~

Famous tea/coffee house-相思茶宿

Went to a really really nice cafe in taipei...this little shop has been on the magazines, on tv and in tour guide book before....initially, i was just thinking, oh dear, it's just another famous shop in taipei...but i was WRONG when i got there...it felt like homeeeeee....

it has really really good ambience and the owner is very x 1000000... concern abt the quality of its tea and coffee they serve and they ONLY serve high quality and caffeine free drinks...what's special abt this shop except for high class tea and coffee...well, what is unique to the shop is the OWNER...he is a very interesting and humourous person..He doesnt have a menu in the shop...usually what he would do is, he will chit chat with you for a while, study u and help you determine the kind of drinks that are suitable for you...The last time 4 of my colleagues went and here are the evaluation:

1. Lady 1 who is quite charming and elegant: he asked, do you want 幸福还是美满？Bingo..he was correct...
2. Lady 2 who is very strong, independent and bossy: he asked, 你是不是要很有性格的咖啡？waliao~~~i started to think he could read ppl...
3. Lady 3 who is a small lady from Shanghai and who hates ppl talking bad about China and hates Taiwanese who want independence: he asked: 回归祖国suits u best
4. Gentleman 1 who is a Japanese living in HK and loves to try different cusines every night: he asked: which country would you like your coffee to be from? WAHHHHHhhh..amazing!!! 神算！！！

so after listening to the "super power" the owner has, i couldnt help wondering what my drinks would be....哈哈哈。。。i reserve the answer first...for those of u who i have already told...sssshhhhhh...let me know what yuo think...i will post my answers in my next post :) but in the mean time...wanna share the lovely photos of the shop :) ...so COOOoooozzzzyyyyyYYyyy

Mr. J 义法厨房

i went to Jay chow's restaurant in Taipei...read it from my "king of Taipei" that this is a popular place for young ppl...as a young lady myself (:p), i joined the crowd...i didnt know it was so popular coz i couldnt get a seat...but the waitress thought i am too cute to be rejected and she got me a seat....well, the menu was ok....i ordered his favourite food...it was a fish roe butter pasta with sea weed AKA 明太子奶油意大利面 (what a weird combination)....actually there are quite a few weird dishes in the menu...according to the guide, they are all his favourite...what a weirdo...hehehe...but it turned out to be great...

The restaurant played his songs all night round..with kids chatting away..it was great...i felt so lively there...i think it would be much better if he could perform a live show...ahahhaa....the restaurant was a bit hard to find...it is in a really really isolated place...this is his signboard....interesting...is that JACK or JaY? hehehe

• this is the look of the restaurant from the outside...cool design.... I'm not exactly a fan of Jay...but i was hoping to see him in person..that would be a BIG news...hahaha...but i got to see his potrait..which is as good la....oh ya, the restaurant has a lot of antiques...heard that they all belong to him and these antiques are quite dear to him :p My fish roe butter pasta with sea weed...yum...*drooling*

Friday the 13th

Tomorrow is BLACK friday...it is friday the 13th..i'm not sure if this is a coincidence or what...my room number is 1305 on the 13th floor...gosh...is it a sign? gotta be careful...i remember two black fridays that i had back in Malaysia...i was still working at EY and always with a group of my work (or play) mates....it just happened that on these two black fridays, i happened to sit around with my mates, as usual, chatting...J, W and me were sitting in our own seats, talking...then suddenly, we were gossiping about someone...so we shared our opinions...just when i was bad-mouthing abt someone, the "victim" just appeared out of nowhere, from my BACK!!! all 3 of us went quiet...oh dear oh dear, did she hear what we said? we weren't that soft u know...oh dear....so tomorrow i have decided to keep my mouth shut :p

my boss was even worse...he stayed in room 1364 on the 13th floor...6 is a devil number, 4 is an unlucky number in china...gosh..nothing is good...haha..well, im just being superstitious..hopefully everything will be okie... ^^

Disaster

I have been eating non stop...i eat and eat and eat...eat while i was in Japan, qingdao, shanghai, suzhou, Taipei, Kuching, Miri, Perth, Singapore, HK etc etc (except for India)....as time goes by, my weight increases proportionately with the increase in my food consumption...all my clothes become too small for me :( i have to accept the fact tat my metabolism is slower now and as my food consumption increases, it cannot keep up :( the consequence? i'm now FATSO jane...

but i don feel that guilty anymore coz i pray every night :p see below :p

世事难测 full of surprises

Haven't been sleeping well for the past 3 nights...First night, i couldnt sleep because i kept thinking about the ghost stories my colleagues and i shared during dinner one night....kept imagining someone standing at the door way looking at me *yawn* when i finally fell asleep, i woke up half an hr later coz my bed was shaken violently...i jumped out from my bed, and rushed to turn on the main switch. WAS IT EARTHQUAKE or i just had an encountered with the spirits? i squaded on the floor, staring at the water in the glass, hoping that there was an earthquake...it wasn't moving...OMG OMG...is my room haunted? i quickly turned on my laptop, checking the earthquake info...one whole list popped out but no sign of the most recent earthquake info (FYI, the one in Japan is real time oh)...in the end, i couldnt sleep coz i didnt know if it was earthquake or spirits...deep down, i wish it was earthquake..so u could imagine how i went thru the whole night....the next day, i confirmed tat there was an earthquake...the same happened to my colleagues....the girls tot their rooms are haunted while the guys wished it was spirit instead (aaahhh, the difference between male and female)

The next night and the night after, i couldnt sleep again...not because of earthquake..but because of my imagination running wild...i thought of spirits again...so i left my lights on....i could hear noises coming out from everywhere (FYI, the hotel is a bit old la...no good sound proof wall or door or ceiling)

During these sleepless nights, i got to think abt my life....and of coz the world too....first, i just said i believe in fate...now i also believe in destination....life is pre-arranged the moment u were born...why did i say tat? well, a few nights ago, i reconnected w a few people that i havent been contacting for SOooooo long....and finally when i did, i found that all of them got married...it is something to be happy about...some moved on to better job, some become parents and some bring their relationships to higher level..but there is one couple that SHOCKS me the most...shock until i believe in destination....who are they??

well, they are my ex colleagues..one from HK and one from Singapore...never would i have thought that both of them would be together and let alone married!!! the gal is a typical hong kong gal...a gal who likes branded goods, a gal who looks for luxury in life, a gal who possess all unique qualities of Hong Kong gal *wink* (u know what i mean?) and most important of all, she told me all her ex-bfs were doctors and pilots...hhmmm...and the guy? he's just an ordinary guy who could care less about wat he puts on himself...he's no doctor or pilot, he is not rich, he is not great looking...he's just...well...normal...a typical family man....it's like heaven and earth la....when i found out tat they got married, i nearly fainted...just never imagined such combination...so, i finally realised life is full of surprises, uncertainties and anything could and would happen....deep down, i always thought something might not work...now i know i am wrong....

i wanna be queen of taipei 台北王

When i visited taipei this time, i wanted to do something different...for the past few times i came, except for the 1st time, i visited the same place over and over and found taipei a bit boring..so i vowed to experience a different side of taipei and so i got this travel guide at HK airport...the name says it all....king of taipei...hehehe...

this book is interesting indeed...because of it, i see a different side of taipei...went for shopping last weekend...there are alot of small alleys in taipei...if u dono the way, u might omit them...coz they don look for special at all..but when u go and explore, u will find that they are full of wonders...little shops selling unique items..either their own designs or they are imported from japan or korea....i went to a lot of special little shops...things are interesting and pretty, a bit expensive though...but it's interesting enough just to window shop...hehehe...here, i went to a fashionshop owned by Jay Chow...i bot a really nice T shirt there...love it...too bad i didnt get to see the owner...hehee..tat's his shop below..it's called Omni

it was drizzling tat day...gloomy but i was happy to go to this cafe..it's called "world of teddy bears" each table has a really cute teddy bear accompany u for tea...it's a cozy little place...i found myself a place near the bookshelves, with lots of books, toys, etc and they are for sale too...they serve all kinds of interesting beverages....i tried rose tea milk...it was FANTASTIC...i like the atmosphere...it just felt so cozy especially when it was raining outside...i sat there, looking out the windows with people carrying umbrella, sipping my milk and enjoyed the companionship of my new friend...teddy ^^

damn poor 赤穷

Thanks to jenn, i shopped like a shopaholic, ordering anything and everything i see online...taiwanese are geniuses when it comes to advertising... everything seems so great, seems so magical...so, i just "clicked" my money away by adding most of the things into my favourite list, thinking that i would try to come back to my favourite items and remove some items that may not be necessary...turned out, i removed ZERO item and ended up buying all...唉， 真是"一失足成千骨恨"啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊~~~ it's so easy to buy online la....i ordered my things on Thursday and i got them yesterday..how efficient and hassle free :) last night when i got them, i just rushed back to the hotel and opened every single parcel and tried every single thing...some are jenn's, i left them for her opening ceremony :)

I think i would be broke if i continued to stay in taiwan....i have decided not to log into the website anymore (for those of u who are wondering how amazing this site is, visit http://www.payeasy.com.tw/ it is indeed pay easy...oh man (>_<))

mission impossible

My 2008's resolutions are to slim down, to not eat soOOooo much, to resist any temptations that i may face, to control my urge to eat so much, to ....etc etc etc....but this seems a bit impossible because i have no willpower :( To me, life is about food, food is my life...heehehe..hence, the figure to reflect...my face is fleshy, my waist is as bit as a big bucket, my flesh bounce when i jump or even when i walk or should i say stroll...hehehe...how could u pass any good food when u are constantly travelling and the thought of forgoing the local delicacy just makes me depressed~~put urself in my shoes and tell me if u would forgo when u see these pictures....
