unique Singapore

Am in Singapore office this week....and came across some really funny stories....yesterday, we met a really humourous taxi driver...we started off the conversation about my colleague's tiny hotel bathroom complaint, then the driver started to ask if we know what "ERP" stands for....FYI ERP is written everywhere at the roadside....originally, it means something like electronic road payment or something...the driver said, nope, in singapore, it means EVERYDAY ROB PEOPLE... >_<

the second story is: this morning, i was in a hurry coz i need to call my boss....before i got in office, i have to pass through guard house...and i did a short cut by walking through the drive way...ngam ngam a car was coming out and the bar was lifted up, so i just walked pass it carefully (not wanting to have my head knocked by the thing)...who knows, i heard a shout behind me, asking me to not use that entrance...it was the guard...he asked me to go out and use the walk way next to it...DUH~~~i was already inside and now i had to do it once more time...so instead of arguing with the guard which i knew i wouldnt win the fight, i decided to do what he asked me to do...oh well..he was just doing his job and hey, it's singapore.....they follow rules...no one can try to be creative!!!
