Another Year has gone by

today is the last day of 2011...time flies, felt like 2011 just arrived not long ago and now, it's time to say good bye...don't think think we have to face the same thing every year? i remember when i was still in primary school, teachers made us write dates on our exercise books for every lesson we had...i remember how i always wrote the wrong year when the year changed...@_@ so i had to keep reminding myself to not forget to update it every time i put the date down.....hehe...well, after N yrs ago, i started not to have new year resolutions anymore? why? because i COULDNT achive anything i planned for in the beginning of year so i decided to let nature takes its course...hehehe...okie dokie, let me reminisce what i achieved and what had happened in 2011:
  1. Left HK which i lived in for the past 5 yrs and moved to Shanghai...
  2. Changed a job that i had been doing for the past 3.5 yrs and jumped into a job that i had not done before~~
  3. closer to my family and friends
ah...as time passes by, my memory is also getting worse and worse.....i think i have done a lot more but couldnt remember... :p

Jane's home cooked meal~~

when i was back home in Oct, mum cooked many things for me...she made her delicious home-made meal and of coz, nutritious soup known as 炖补...i saw mum put in many good stuff in the soup...red dates, ginseng, expensive lean pork and some which i dono what they are called in English...i felt i had gained back all the lost nutrients for the past months....haha.. this month, i decided to do the same for myself so i called mum for recipe....because i was also sick, so mum asked me to make ginger wine + fried egg for a meal..so i did it obediently too...and i made something unexpectedly because i found 4 potatoes in the fridge @_@ ...made smashed potato with butter and cheese...yummy...really, i stored more nutrients in my body which can keep me warm throughout the winter... :) Love you, mum~~ i should learn more recipes from her next time~~

Happy birthday mummy

Happy birthday my dear mum... I feel bad for not being able to celebrate mum's bday in person with her... But my heart is with mum and I know she will be happy to see her bday cake today when Jenn picks it up from Hilton.. Lucky Jenn is there to represent all of us.. And my dad is gonna take her out for a romantic dinner... But with a super BIG light bulb called Jenn... Hehe... Even though I'm afar, wanna give mum her cake online (this is not the real thing) and a big bowl of long life noodle... 祝老媽子年年有今日,歲歲有今朝。我愛您~~~o(^_^)o

Fruitful week

Went to shanghai technology museum with my nieces and nephew plus my sis' in law's family. Two more kids tagged along. I really enjoyed the trip because I found how lovely I am and how lovable I can be. There is an old saying - kids are honest and they can tell if you are nice and kind and like you as such... All FIVE kids LOVE me sooooooo much... So much that they all clang to me whole day during whole trip.. It was good fun.. Coz I kept hearing gugu, gugu..they got jealous when one kid was close to me, they wanted to outbeat each other to treat me nice *feel like queen* they gave me different lollies, gave me LOTS of attention an throughout the whole journey, I kinda feel that I could be a good kindergarten teacher.. They loved my stories. They listened to my lecture, they fought for my attention..I really enjoyed it. During resting time, my SIL's s and I were playing with a 2 yr old girl (stranger) who sat near us. My SIL's tried to ask for free food from the little gal but got rejected, even getting a stared from the little gal. Then i tried my luck, looked at her and asked for a share of her food, expected rejection too, to my surprised, she handed me her food!!! I said kindly she could have it, the little gal kept extending it to me *touched* i took it with a happy heart~~~but felt bad for stealing her food :p One thing I learned from this trip is: age is catching up with me.. I came home feeling exhausted... Most importantly, it's better to delegate your job or u would end up DEAD!! But I still love all five kids :)
