The trip was fun.. it was a trip full of pleasant surprises~~~ the best is yet to come~
You see, my last trip in gz was last year w my sis... For some reasons, there were thunder storms and heavy rain almost every afternoon at that time... This time before I went, I checked the weather forecast almost every day to make sure history doesn't repeat! Coz during heavy rains, all flights in gz will be delayed! Last time we waited for 5 hours at airport, and our flight time was still to be determined! So my sis and I decided to leave the next day instead~
The first two days in gz was good~ cloudy but not raining.. the weather changed on Sunday morning, my nightmare had come~~ loud thunder in the morning followed by heavy rain... I thought it should be ok as the rain was getting less heavy... Until when it was close to my flight! It was raining cats and dogs and started to flood in some places~ hopeful that my flight would be safe since i didnt receive any notification~~ i kept my fingers crossed (or just in denial)...When in airport, my heart dropped when i saw how crowded the airport was!
turned out all flights were CANCELLED instead of delayed! Panic coz I have to be back to shanghai for my meetings with my boss!
With the consolation, help and suggestions from my sisters and bro in law, finally I decided to go to HK instead to take my flight... There was still a possibility that I wouldn't be able to leave gz if I leave the next day~ better go to HK to bet my luck~
It's only this time that you will know how great technology is... My bro in law called the agent, cancelled my flight, booked me on new one~ you think this is the end?
How wrong was I! HK was no better! It was raining cats and dogs too and even the subway station has flooded~
