old vs new

I have moved to my new place in shanghai for abt 3 months ler..time sure flies. my love for my new place has grown as the days go by and it has come to a stage where i feel like just chill at home even when there are many temptations out there~~~ 这代表我是经得起诱惑的哦 *proud* anway..that's beside the point liao...well, the other day, i showed my friend my home in HK...my friend's first reaction is: "i don't understand why you miss your old place..coz your current home is much much better than this one" then i found my other good point...i said : "coz i'm a 念旧和有感情的人嘛。" my place in hk, even though, is small but i reckon it is really cozy~ and it's really convenient, i can see mountains, i have free music from my neighbour and i have public park downstairs...i remember when i first came to shanghai, i missed my place terribly~ and when i first moved to my new home in shanghai, i didnt feel like home...but after my stuff from hk arrived, i started to deco my place...and now, it's just like home for me...aaaahhhh...home sweet home...

Jane's creativity~

i always like to decorate my fridge with many magnets...jenn has this hobby where she will get a magnet from whenever she travelled to....last time, i always help her get her magnet whenever i travelled...well..my magnets are not like tat, mine are mainly to clip important notes on the fridge..like discount coupons la, phone numbers la, bills la etc...it's useful so i really like it...but when i moved to shanghai, i cannot do it anymore...why? coz my fridge is hiding in a cupboard.....everytime someone comes to my place, they will ask me why i don't have fridge, then i will open the secret compartment and show them..tada~~well, so i don't have fridge to stick my magnets anymore...they are now hiding in one of the boxes...so yesterday, when i went for grocery shopping, i saw a simple metal board...like a lightbulb, i thought of what i could do with it...so i bought it..when i got home, i quickly took my hidden treasure, put them on the board and hang it on the door of my fridge...yeah..now it looks so pretty~~whenever i go to kitchen, i feel happy just looking at it...at the same time admiring my own 小聪明 and creativity...hehehehe.... :)

first homemade meal in shanghai~~

在大陆吃东西，就如吃毒药。。。那是别人告诉我的。。哈哈哈。。你只要一打开报纸，电视，就可以看到很多类似的新闻。。什么人造假蛋啦，在水果上面打蜡啦，死鸡炸鸡，在水沟回收丢弃的油啦。。数都数不完，就像天上的星星一般多。所以，我就尽量少在外面吃东西咯。但是，在外面买东西也很烦，你都不知道他的source是什么。。那也是问题。就只好买进口的咯。超贵的。但是，为了以后省钱，就早点做“投资”咯。每次在这里都没空做菜，但今天我心血来潮，就亲自做饭。tada~~ 这就是我在上海的第一餐家里做的饭。。。 :)

Coffee story

i'm making my own coffee at home...someone told me coffee in china tastes really bad...kinda diluted, even starbucks tastes like water...i didnt believe in the beginning..after i had it, it is confirmed that coffee here is diulted...so, i never order coffee outside anymore... im not a coffee person, but somehow, me got influenced, so i drink it once in a while..i love coffeee early in the morning...or when i feel kinda bloated, i will drink coffee too...so one day, i walked pass a grocery store in taiwan and got this...packet coffee!!! hehe...because i'm a lazy bum (大懒人), instant coffee suits me..not the 3 in 1 type...but coffee in a mini filter o...simple and fast ler...so this morning, i had my mushroom soup noodle + a cup of hot coffee...啊，感觉真的好幸福啊~~~ my plan tomorrow morning? yup...another cup of hot coffee and a roll of blueberry bread~~~ how's that? another 幸福的早上 :) Wanna join me?

我的第一次 my first time

Went for sichuan food on friday with friends...honestly, i havent had time to meet up with friends lately...everyday, just home-work-home...my life these days are full of "surprises"...if good surprises i welcome, but....it's more towards unpredictable circumstances...always have last minute meetings / follows up to do...there is one meeting i always wanted to have but it's always cancelled...up till now, still no time for it :( anyway, thats not the main point....i met up with friends last friday night...sichuan food...yummy...... my friend recommended spicy frog leg coz it's their specialty...FROG???!!! im scared of frog, let alone put its leg in my mouth?! i remember when i was in high school last time...kch had been raining for a few days...that day, school bus came and i was rushing to put my shoes on...then suddenly, i felt something inside my shoe...eee? why was it wet inside, so i took it off...then one BIG, FAT frog jumped out from it... OMG OMG, i was terrified!!! one is because i didnt expect something to jump out..somemore ALIVE...and it looked very ugly and dirty...the thought just put shivered all over my body... but my friend insisted i try...how ler..? after a few mins of struggle..i agreed...and took my first FROG LEG...i admit, it tasted quite taste and like chicken...but i only had one leg that night :) im glad i did it...

Milk tea story

Havent had my HK milk tea like for 3 months already and i miss it awfully...last time i wanted to ask my colleague to da bao for me and bring over but too troublesome lo...btw, they have hk milk tea in can, so it's easy to bring over...last week, i finally had my HK milk tea in HK!! YAHOO...it was really nice to have it again...surely taste good...just to clarify, i also miss the one in kuching~~ kuching one is always my favourite...oh well...anyway, today, i had my very own milk tea at home in shanghai...in the metal mug i bought in HK and the milk tea is from ipoh town...aaahhh, now it has HK feel as well as malaysian feel..PEeeerrrfect!

Year of rabbit

Time sure flies by when you are most relaxed and having fun...this is really an unforgettable new year for me...have done so much, seen so much and feel so much...i never knew a well-spent time could achieve so much ^^ this year, i didnt spend CNY in Kuching..felt a bit sad initially coz i havent been back for quite sometime and i always like the CNY atmosphere there..the fireworks and crackers and the smoke~~ ahhh....meeting up with friends and family is always the most fun part...the only downside is, parents always go out of town during CNY so jenn and i have to eat out almost everyday..yeah, at friend's place!! imagine all the tit bits...last year, we had singapore chicken rice almost everyday coz i said i want to at least have some local food..and the only place that opened is singapore chicken rice!! oh well..better than none...well, i was sad initially but it was good to spend it a different way and im glad i did :)
