我的第一次 my first time
Went for sichuan food on friday with friends...honestly, i havent had time to meet up with friends lately...everyday, just home-work-home...my life these days are full of "surprises"...if good surprises i welcome, but....it's more towards unpredictable circumstances...always have last minute meetings / follows up to do...there is one meeting i always wanted to have but it's always cancelled...up till now, still no time for it :( anyway, thats not the main point....i met up with friends last friday night...sichuan food...yummy...... my friend recommended spicy frog leg coz it's their specialty...FROG???!!! im scared of frog, let alone put its leg in my mouth?! i remember when i was in high school last time...kch had been raining for a few days...that day, school bus came and i was rushing to put my shoes on...then suddenly, i felt something inside my shoe...eee? why was it wet inside, so i took it off...then one BIG, FAT frog jumped out from it... OMG OMG, i was terrified!!! one is because i didnt expect something to jump out..somemore ALIVE...and it looked very ugly and dirty...the thought just put shivered all over my body...
but my friend insisted i try...how ler..? after a few mins of struggle..i agreed...and took my first FROG LEG...i admit, it tasted quite taste and like chicken...but i only had one leg that night :) im glad i did it...

Year of rabbit
Time sure flies by when you are most relaxed and having fun...this is really an unforgettable new year for me...have done so much, seen so much and feel so much...i never knew a well-spent time could achieve so much ^^ this year, i didnt spend CNY in Kuching..felt a bit sad initially coz i havent been back for quite sometime and i always like the CNY atmosphere there..the fireworks and crackers and the smoke~~ ahhh....meeting up with friends and family is always the most fun part...the only downside is, parents always go out of town during CNY so jenn and i have to eat out almost everyday..yeah, at friend's place!! imagine all the tit bits...last year, we had singapore chicken rice almost everyday coz i said i want to at least have some local food..and the only place that opened is singapore chicken rice!! oh well..better than none...well, i was sad initially but it was good to spend it a different way and im glad i did :)

annual dinner in communist way
chiang chiang chiang chiang chiang....here i come..the ancient heroine in her battle suit...chiang x5...yesterday was our annual dinner...well..i have to say that this is a unforgetable annual dinner for me...why? coz instead of spending money to have someone entertained us, we have to entertain ourselves...now i know how it feels to be in the operation world...where sales, gross margin, selling & admin costs and operating income means more than anything else!!! haha..i was just exaggerating..well, it's kinda interesting because it helps build relationship between colleagues as we were put in groups..honestly, there are tonnes of ppl out there that i exchange emails or phone calls with everyday but i have no idea who they are and how they look like...it was fun to dress up like this...and i kinda like it too...i didnt know i have "talent" for Chinese Opera..hiak hiak hiak...all other people were dressed up as male heroes and we also had monkey king!! well..i just found out that we have many talented people who could be more successful in the entertainment biz than in the engineering or sales force..haha...one thing i found different about annual dinner in china is...during the lucky draw session, they called out names of ppl...the usual practice that im exposed to is, if you are not there or if you lost your ticket, TOUGH LUCK, you are no winner...and it gives other people hope that they will be the next winner...fair right? who ask youi to be absent or mindless about your "supporting document"?! well, in china, it's totally different...they reserve your rights...if you are not around when your ticket is called, the prize is still YOURS!!! not much fun in my perspective but i guess this is the communist way of lucky draw~~~~
the wonders of donation
Every weekend in HK, you can see old people, kids, students, other people standing at the entrances of MTR stations, at the bridges, at the roadsides etc, having a big bag in front of them...when you try to pass by, they will come chase you and ask u to donate money..well, i'm a kind person but somehow, i dont know where my money will go in the end coz i dont even where and who i'm donating too...the hardest one to reject is old people and kids....old people cos they are old and we need to respect them and because they need to rest mah...for kids, we need to demonstrate a good example to our future....so, what many people do is..they will donate, get the sticker and put it on wherever it's easier for ppl to see...guess what, it's like saying to the world that i'm a kind person, i donate money and it also has the effect of having other ppl not to come and chase u for donation anymore....this is what i found out one day when i donated too, got the flag and saw other ppl wearing the flag and i didnt get disturbed anymore but those who didnt, got chased...hehehe....
